I became a UX designer because it felt like a natural fit and because I wanted to do work that I considered meaningful. I am an avid researcher, constant learner, careful observer and thinker, and active listener. I love learning others’ stories, solving problems, pushing creativity, and making things beautiful. Seniors, children, animal-related causes, and the environment are my greatest areas of interest for UX design.
My work experience includes design, writing, editing, custom artwork, and small business management. I’ve owned and operated two small businesses - a custom design studio and a fitness facility. Both provided me with endless opportunities to listen to and connect with clients and users, solve problems, provide solutions, and be creative.
I have an Honours Bachelor of Arts in English & Fine Art, a Bachelor of Design in Industrial Design, and a post-graduate certificate in UX Design.
I live in the Greater Toronto Area, in Oakville, Ontario, Canada with my husband, two daughters, a teddy bear of a bullmastiff named Buddha and a crazy American bulldog rescue named Jingle. When I’m not designing, I might be found researching something, organizing a drawer, curled up with my dogs, turning toilet paper rolls into miniature villages with my daughters, daydreaming of rescuing animals, or of returning to my favourite travel spots of Vietnam, Iceland, and the east coast of Canada.
